Maribeth Amber – Driven to create on a daily basis, summers find me designing and planting in the garden, or collecting driftwood. Late Autumn is when I’m ready to move inside to sculpt and paint.
Childhood summers in Maine on the beach building castles in the sand have fueled my wonder and inspiration, especially the ocean and its ceaseless waves and the vast expanse of the nighttime sky.
I attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, The Art Institute of Boston, MA , Temple University in Rome, Italy and received a BA from Framingham State University with a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in Art Education.
Distilling the still life into abstract compositions, I like to play with rhythm and movement and experiment with color as I weave subtle worlds into being.
After 22 years of teaching art to children and adults in both public and private settings, I find myself with an Art Gallery/Healing space where I enjoy meeting and inspiring people to heal and create.
