Sacred Rhythms Drum Circle

Tuesday July 9th, 23rd 6:30-8 PM

Rhythm and sound have been used in sacred circles since the beginning of human culture. In this drum circle, we’ll explore the power of rhythm to affect consciousness and create synergy. We’ll begin with a guided meditation to center and ground, then move through various inspiring, uplifting, ecstatic, and joyful rhythms together. You’re welcome to participate as a drummer or just listen. Dancing and spinning encouraged! Bring your favorite drum or percussion instrument – we’ll also have some extras on hand.

Sacred Rhythms Drum Circle

Brent BlackLion Nelson and Nikki Starcat Shields have been playing hand drums together for over a decade, and they’ve appeared as Feline Drummers at various community events, workshops, art fairs, spa yoga sessions, and celebrations. As musicians and performers for 8 years with the vaudeville troupe The Dark Follies, they’ve added various Middle-eastern, African, and eastern European rhythms, styles, and instruments to the mix. Starcat and BlackLion love to take part in drum circles, fireside gatherings, and jams these days. Come join the party!

Joie Grandbois: Dancer, choreographer, musician, writer…storyteller. Whether she is using the medium of dance, rhythm or words Joie seeks to bring to life the character present in a creative work.

A lifelong dancer Joie entered the world of belly dance through the side door of raqs gothique (gothic belly dance) after falling in love with its dramatic storytelling nature. She went on to study the more traditional cabaret and Turkish styles of the dance which only made her fall more deeply in love with the art form.

Joie is a practitioner of Contemplative Dance & Authentic Movement and uses the techniques from this practice to teach embodiment to dancers and other movement artists. She works with students in classes and one on one to help them connect to and express their creative voice.

She is the founder and director of the interdisciplinary variety who performance troupe Dark Follies which formed in 2008. She teaches and performs around New England with Dark Follies and as a solo artist.

Breath, Dance, and Sound Healing

SpiritDance is a blend of breath and movement. If you’ve ever experienced a breath class and wanted to move to the music, this class is for you! The breath is equally as important as the movement, which is equally as important as the sound.

We will begin with a discussion on how to do the breath, set intentions, then we begin by standing on our mats. We bring in the breath and find our own movement/stillness. Typically in each class, we do take a song to do something together, like shaking. Shaking is a wonderful way to support your lymphatic system and it is also a great way to move things on, to break energies up. In SpiritDance, you can go down on your mat anytime you are ready to do so. When you go down, continue with the breathing pattern that we have learned. The more intense breath/dance takes place for around 45 minutes. Eventually, most will go to the floor as I start in with the sound healing portion of the night. Crystal Singing Bowls or my Gong are often part of the experience. The Sounding will last at least 10 minutes. After this, we will ground and share.

This is a judgment-free zone, you don’t even get to judge yourself!

Please bring a yoga mat, pillow if one is needed to sit on and or for under the knees when resting on the mat. You may also wish to bring a blanket to be extra cozy. You will want to bring water to hydrate.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. My website is www.reikisoundings.com if you would like to find out more about my offerings.

6:30 to 8:30 $40 Payment due at class

To register please contact me. If you register and can’t make the class please let me know so I can try to fill your spot.

Thank you!

Sit with the Possibility that you are much More than you realize. How does it feel? ~ Diana

Each of us is intuitive. In this workshop, you will learn to unlock your Inner Wise One so that you may step into your Soul Potential. Intuition is our internal GPS. It helps us to navigate our lessons and to bring our gifts to Light. In this course you will learn how Heaven speaks to you; how to fine-tune the intuitive sense that you were born with; how to be a clear receiver and overcome blocks; and how to deepen your relationship with your Angels and Guides. We will work with various tools that will allow us to stretch our intuitive muscles and unlock our potential. These practices will help you to trust yourself, center your mind, expand your awareness, and clarify your energy so that you are better receiver and interpreter of the signs Heaven is sending you.

This class is enlightening, fun, and highly interactive. You will leave it more empowered and with some wonderful spiritual tools that will support your highest potential. Unique to other class formats, Diana intuitively tailors the curriculum to the needs of the students. This greatly enhances the learning experience. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student – there will be something to learn and enjoy. Join us! $50

Happy Litha/Midsummer Solstice everyone!

Attend Diana’s Intuitive Development class on June 22nd and enjoy our Solstice Celebration that evening for $28. Regular admission is $35.

Mother Earth is lush with seed and bountiful. Father Sun is at his peak. We honor the sacred union of God and Goddess. The Summer Solstice is a jubilant celebration of Light and the
Miracle of Life. At Litha, the veil between the worlds is thin. We are closer to Spirit. It is an excellent time to commune with Heaven and call upon the sacred power of the Sun (our Source) so that we may rekindle our Joy and step into
our Brilliance.

This evening, we will celebrate our Good and reaffirm our Light. Diana will deliver a channeled message from Mother Earth & Father Sky to help us navigate the coming season. Spirit has also guided Diana to lead us in a heart healing meditation to rekindle our inner flame. Our time together would not be complete without our gathering together in ceremony to honor our path and set new intentions. Join us and make merry! No celebration would be complete without good company, good cheer, refreshment, and a bit of chocolate! We look forward to an inspired evening of love, joy, and renewal by the light of the Midsummer Solstice! Please register early to ensure a seat. $35
